2010 -2011    BCANY Membership Information

There are two easy ways to join BCANY, either for an individual coach or for multiple coaches.

OPTION # 1  – You can Join on line.

BCANY now offers online registration and online payments for several of our programs including BCANY membership and clinic registration.  We are enthused to offer you this option to register and pay online.  Please not since this is our first year offering this secure online service, we will continue to enhance the process.

Option # 2 – You can download, print, complete, enclose payment and mail it in.  Make checks payable to: BCANY

1. Use the front side of the form if only one coach is joining.

2. Put additional names on the second side. NEED AN EMAIL ADDRESS OF EACH COACH

3. For “Section” on the membership form, put the NYSPHSAA section your    school is in
OR IF NOT A NYSPHSAA SCHOOL PUT THE NUMBER from below THAT FITS YOUR SCHOOL -
Section 12: NYC Public Schools, Section 13: NYC Catholic Schools, Section 14: NYC + NYS Private Schools, Section 15: College Division II and III, Section 16: College Division I, Section 17: Junior College, and Section 18: Other

ALL communications from BCANY will be by email. We must have an accurate email address. (PLEASE PRINT CLEARLY). We prefer you use a home email address so that you will receive emails even when school is not in session. If you do choose to use a school email address please understand that your school’s internet security system might view it as spam as it will have pictures and or graphics and kick it back. If possible let your school’s internet person know that if it has “BCANY” in the subject line, it is not spam.

Membership Category and Fee:
$30.00: Head Coach
$15.00: Scholastic Ass’t, JV, Modified, College Assistant
$15.00: Associate – AAU coaches, family, friends, fans, college students, etc.
Free:      Retired coaches who were active members for at least 5 years.
$70.00: Staff Rate (see below)
$99.00 School Special — all basketball coaches (boys and girls) from one school.

Example:
$30.00: Head Coach
$45.00: Head Coach and 1 Assistant
$60.00: Head Coach and 2 Assistants
$70.00: Head Coach and 3 or 4 Assistants
$99.00 : All Basketball Coaches (boys and girls from one school)

Membership expires
August 31, 2011

Money Back Guarantee

If you join BCANY for 2010–2011 and at the end of the membership year you are not satisfied with BCANY, your membership dues will be refunded to you. You simply need to write a brief letter to Dave Archer, Executive Director listing the reason(s) you are not satisfied and a refund will be sent to you.

Free Membership for NEW Head Coaches

If you are a new head coach in a New York State High School and have never been a BCANY member, you can receive one year of membership free! Our Board of Directors believes so strongly in BCANY that they have authorized this offer. Simply fill out the membership form and write across the top ‘New Head Coach’.
